Ludis means sport in Latin, which is fitting given that Latin is a dying language and our whole mission is to bring dead sport balls back to life.

At the start of this year, we were brought together by the Monash Fastrack Accelerator program, where we dreamt up the idea to stop old tennis balls from entering landfill. However, we soon realised that sport ball waste was not a problem unique to tennis, but rather a widespread problem for almost all sports. Upon realising the gravity of waste issues in the sporting industry, we knew there was an opportunity for us to help drive real change, to help create a future we wanted to be a part of. So, that’s exactly what we’re doing.

Currently, we are working hard to transform these old sport balls into something seriously cool. Something stylish, supportive, and sustainable. Something you can wear before and after your games, or while you’re drinking coffee with your best mate when you’re down at your local cafe. Something called sandals.
